On February 16, 2026, a new Express Entry round was held, issuing a total of 279 invitations to candidates. To receive an invitation, candidates were required to have a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 789. This round continues to support the goals of Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program by targeting skilled individuals for immigration.

A tie-breaking rule was also applied in this round, which stipulates that if more than one candidate achieved the lowest CRS score, the cut-off would be determined by the date and time the candidates submitted their Express Entry profiles.
